RECREATION COMMITTEE

Christmas Party deadline – October 30th

Hurry!  Hurry!  Time is running out!  You only have until Monday, October 30 to turn in your registration form for the Local 730 Christmas party scheduled for Sunday, December 10 at Studio 28 Theaters!  Registration forms are available at the Union Hall, Benefit Office, or Christmas boxes located by the escalators.  Only members who have turned in their registration form may attend.  We are sorry, but this is the only way we can plan an event like this.

Due to the economic situation and loss of jobs, we are again asking members to please help those less fortunate by contributing canned goods OR there will be a jar set out for cash contributions to purchase food for UAW Locals and their families that need assistance at this time.

WOMEN’S COMMITTEE

Breast Cancer Walk

A big thank you to all our members who participated and supported this worthy cause.  Together we were able to raise over $1571 for this event held Saturday, October 14.

VETERANS COMMITTEE

Our committee is ready to help any Veteran who needs help in pursuing his entitled benefits, his lost or never received medals – P.T.S.D. We have information on GI Loans, GI Education, Re-Employment Rights, Unemployment Compensation, Job Finding Assistance, GI Insurance (for Veterans with service connected disabilities), Medical Care, Dental Care, Disability, and Readjustment Counsel.  This is just the start of information we have.  When making any type of claim, it is very important you have a professional Service Officer represent you.  Always make triple copies of everything - one for the V.A. Office, one for yourself, and one for the V.A. Service Officer.  p your own personal file at home.)  Here are some phone numbers and web sites to help any Veteran get started in receiving the help they need.
