UAW Local 730 has joined forces with Grand Rapids Public Schools and the Heart of West Michigan United Way to make a difference in our students’ lives by going into the schools as volunteers to help students learn to read. This is an ongoing project with several of our members volunteering. Thank you for the gift you give to our community and our children. For those of you still thinking about volunteering, I challenge you to take that first step. Be a hero! Get involved!

We are still in the process of compiling a library and need your help. Please donate any books, pamphlets, videos, or materials from classes you have taken such as Conflict Resolution, Diversity, et cetera.

Look for upcoming information on Career and Education Day. This is an all day educational experience for your children grades 9 through 12.

We are in the process of trying to make arrangements to allow those members interested in touring an assembly plant an opportunity to do so. There will be more information to follow.
