  Standing  Committee Reports

April 18, 2008

To:  All Local 730, UAW Members

A Five Day Strike Letter was hand delivered to management this morning at 9 a.m.  The five days will end at 9 a.m. next Friday, April 25, 2008.

Talks are ongoing.  Progress is being made.  We still have some key issues that have to be resolved.

The Five Day Letter means if there is no agreement after five days and the issues are not resolved, a strike may be called.

More updates to follow, as well as, strike duty information.

Remember - a contract is a two-way street.  Both sides need to come to the table.  The union has been available to meet 24/7, but management has only been willing to meet one day a week.

 Fraternally,

LOCAL 730, UAW
