Because the Transition Center's website has been discontinued, information will now be posted here regarding unemployment and re-training.

TAA:  According to the official TAA Report, our plant is now approved and certified. TAA will be administered by Michigan Works, not by GM or the UAW. Some information is available here: TAA Frequently Asked Questions. However, most of your questions will need to wait to be addressed during the orientation session. Those who may be eligible for TAA will be receiving letters from the government informing them of the date and location of their orientation. Failure to attend will result in forfeiting TAA benefits. So check your mail daily and plan on clearing your schedule for that meeting. See TAA Meetings for a reminder of what to bring.

Michigan Works:  After several months of regular availability to our members, Michigan Works will no longer be providing services at the plant or the Union Hall. For assistance with creating a resumè, searching for a job, or setting up an online unemployment/MARVIN account, please contact a Michigan Works office. Click here to find the location nearest to you: http://www.michworks.org

SUB:  Please be aware that when you file for your unemployment extension, you will need to restart your SUB by sending in an application for the period of the first two weeks of your extension. After you've reported to MARVIN for those two weeks, send GM 1) proof of pay for those weeks (can be obtained by setting up an online account at www.michigan.gov/uia-cwam, or calling UIC at 866-845-0077, or visiting a Michigan UIC office), 2) your new Monetary Determination letter, and 3) a paper SUB application (available in the Benefits office or at www.layoffbenefits.com). Our plant's Cisco for the  application is 48063-952. The address to mail these documents to is on the second page of the SUB application.
