Because the Transition Center's website has been discontinued, information will now be posted here regarding unemployment and re-training.

After several months of regular availability to our members, Michigan Works will no longer be providing services at the plant or the Union Hall. For assistance with creating a resumè, searching for a job, or setting up an online unemployment/MARVIN account, please contact a Michigan Works office. Click here to find the location nearest to you: http://www.michworks.org

Please be aware that when you file for your unemployment extension, you will need to restart your SUB by sending in an application for the period of the first two weeks of your extension. After you've reported to MARVIN for those two weeks, send GM 1) proof of pay for those weeks (can be obtained by setting up an online account at www.michigan.gov/uia-cwam, or calling UIC at 866-845-0077, or visiting a Michigan Works office), 2) your new Monetary Determination letter, and 3) a paper SUB application (available at www.layoffbenefits.com). The address to mail these to is on the second page of the SUB application.
