Saturday, June 26: Put it on your calendar! A gathering is being planned at the Union Hall on Saturday, June 26, for all former and current members and retirees of Local 730. Bring your own drinks, and light snacks will be provided. When further details are determined, they will be posted on this website, so keep checking back.

Saturday, March 27: Interested in attending a Griffins hockey game with fellow Union members? Tickets are available for the Union Night game on Saturday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m., at the reduced price of $9.00. A portion will help pay the debt on the “Solidarity” labor monument in Grand Rapids. Let’s try to get a good showing at the Van Andel Arena to support not only our hockey team, but our monument too. This game is likely to sell out, so order your tickets as soon as possible by printing the form attached here and mailing it to the address on the form or faxing it to 616-336-5464. Hope to see you there!

Monday, March 15: Terry Lint Memorial Scholarship applications are due by March 15. If you are interested, stop by the Union Hall and pick one up.

Who We Are

UAW Local 730 members are the hourly employees and retirees of the closing General Motors Grand Rapids Metal Stamping Plant located at 300 36th Street SW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49548.

Our purpose, as defined in the UAW Constitution:
Essential to the UAW’s purpose is to afford the opportunity for workers to master their work environment; to achieve not only improvement in their economic status, but, of equal importance, to gain from their labors a greater measure of dignity, of self-fulfillment, and self-worth. Extending these gains in dignity, self-fulfillment and self-worth to the community is an integral part of the objective of the labor movement to which the UAW belongs.
